About Bill Baker:
Bill Baker was born in Fairfield, Connecticut, about 60 miles East of New York City. He’s made a living working in restaurants and bars throughout High School and later paid for college with his earnings from working with his Rock and Roll bands.
He may have been a math major in college with plans to teach and coach football at the secondary level, but music has been his forte almost from the time he first picked up a guitar at age nine. After graduation from Western Connecticut University, Bill went on the road performing in showrooms and lounges and played with eight piece bands in Las Vegas, even composed with the great Sammy Cahn.
Country, jazz, rock, you name it and he’s played it all. Spent several years performing and writing special material for The Hee Haw Show in Nashville in the late 1980’s until the show ended it’s run in 1990.
Writing songs has been Bill Baker’s passion as well as performing live. Welcome to Bill’s website where every song has it’s own story.
